What is collective bargaining?

Collective bargaining is the determination of wages and other employment conditions by way of direct negotiations between the union (the players) and the employer (the league). In collective bargaining, the union always has a collective interest since the negotiations are for the bene t of several employees.

NOTE: The ability to secure favorable terms during each CBA negotiation period was only accomplished because of the players’ demonstration of unity and resolve to negotiate an equitable deal.

This kind of player unity and resolve will be critical as we move forward.
